ALL DOWNLOADED BLACK BOX DATA, PHOTOGRAPHS AND LASER SCANS ARE UPLOADED TO OUR SECURE SERVERS. YOU WILL BE PROVIDED WITH SECURE ACCESS TO YOUR DATA FOR DOWNLOADING. THE DATA WILL BE STORED FOR ONE MONTH, FOLLOWING THE DOWNLOAD, AT NO EXTRA COST. SECURE STORAGE OF THE DATA BEYOND ONE MONTH IS AVAILABLE.

Black Box Download
Our basic service provides you with a digital copy of the EDR data in a PDF format and in the CDR raw format. You will also be provided with photographs of the vehicle exterior and download setup. All data will be uploaded to our secure server and is password protected.
Cost may vary depending on the complexity of the download. Vehicles in which the Black Box must be extracted may cost more.
Vehicle Laser Scan
In addition to the Black Box data, you may opt to have a laser scan of the vehicle. You have the option of adding a laser scan of the vehicle exterior and even the vehicle interior. External vehicle scans can prove useful for your accident reconstructionist or to be used later in a demonstrative animation. Likewise, internal vehicle scans can provide useful information to a biomechanical expert, regarding the vehicle’s interior dimensions. Vehicle laser scans are an additional service.
Interpretive Report
EDR reports can be a little confusing to those who are unfamiliar with the data. We offer an interpretive report which takes the data and presents it in a more reader-friendly format. We also offer a consultation with an accident reconstructionist to help you understand the data in your report. The report and/or the consultation do not constitute an accident reconstruction, but rather are a straightforward interpretation of the data. For complex crashes, the data may require additional analysis, in conjunction with the other physical evidence, in order to properly place the data in the context of the accident scenario.
